| Horse for Sale - 3 year old 16hh Thoroughbred Mare This little mare is a joy to have. She has a great attitude and learns quickly. She loves attention and is happy to go out on the trail with other horses or alone. She was originally bred as a racehorse, but was too slow and was never raced. She bathes, trailers, is good with the farrier (gets fidgety after a while) and doesn’t mind fly spray, clippers, blankets etc. She is extremely sane for a 3 year old and is tons of fun to ride. She is pictured above with a 12 year old riding her - she hadn’t been ridden in 6 weeks, and she didn’t set a foot wrong. I took her in a one day schooling event this summer and she was a star (shown as ‘Lulu Melon’ at Avalon Equestrian Centre in Duncan, BC). She completed all three phases without any problems and she hadn’t been off the property in almost a year. I have a copy of her dressage test and cross country video if interested. She is not a beginner horse only because she is still very green with less than a year under saddle, however she has a great mind and once trained I’m sure will do well for any level of rider. She may be taller than 16h now, I haven’t measured her since last winter. The ONLY reason I am selling her is I don’t have time to ride two horses, and she is WAY too good to stand in a field.
